Biography
#Motown# duet pairing of two solo stars, formed in 1967. Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell recorded three albums, 'United', 'You're All I Need' and 'Easy', and classic singles including 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' and 'You're All I Need to Get By'. Terrell's death from a brain tumour in 1970 ended the partnership. Their duets remain among the most beloved recordings in the Motown catalogue, and the standard against which later soul duets are judged.
