Biography
Mr. Fingers is the principal alias of Chicago producer Larry Heard, born in 1960 and regarded as a pioneer of deep house. Heard's mid-1980s tracks under the name, including 'Mystery of Love', 'Washing Machine' and 'Can You Feel It', brought a jazz musician's harmony and warmth to Chicago house. The alias fronted the albums 'Amnesia' in 1989 and 'Introduction' in 1992, and Heard revived it for the double album 'Cerebral Hemispheres' in 2018, after a long run of releases under his own name and other aliases.
