Biography
Nektar are an English progressive rock band formed in Hamburg in 1969 by Roye Albrighton, Allan 'Taff' Freeman, Derek 'Mo' Moore and Ron Howden. Their space rock concept albums for #Bellaphon Records#, above all 'Remember the Future' in 1973, won them a lasting cult following in Germany and the United States. Since Roye Albrighton's death in 2016 the name has been carried by a United States based band built around Moore, while a German line-up works as New Nektar.
