Biography
Nitzer Ebb are a British group formed in Chelmsford in 1982 by Bon Harris, Douglas McCarthy and David Gooday, pioneers of electronic body music with a stripped, militaristic synth sound. Their #Mute# debut 'That Total Age' from 1987 produced club staples 'Join in the Chant' and 'Let Your Body Learn', and they broadened across 'Belief', 'Ebbhead' and 'Big Hit' before splitting, reuniting and returning with 'Industrial Complex' in 2010. McCarthy died on 11 June 2025.
