Biography

Nu Jazz is an experimental supergroup from New York City that merges the worlds of free jazz, electronic noise, and hardcore punk. The project began as a joke between Danny Orlowski (*Deli Girls*) and Ray Rizk, but officially started jamming in March 2021. The group is known for its transgressive, high-energy live shows and a sound that blends unrestrained improvisation with sample-based modular synthesis. Their debut record, 'Vol. I', featured collaborator *Jason Lindner* of *David Bowie's* 'Blackstar' orchestra. With members from notable underground acts like *Deli Girls*, *Murderpact*, and *CGI Jesus*, Nu Jazz synthesizes disparate influences into a singular, chaotic, and forward-thinking musical entity.
