Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their full-length 'Un Jazz', the New York-based collective Nu Jazz delivers a maximalist collision of avant-garde improvisation, electronic noise, and abrasive punk energy. The project brings together musicians from acts like Deli Girls, Murderpact, and CGI Jesus to actively deconstruct conventional boundaries between free-flowing instrumentation and rhythmic hostility. Described by the ensemble as a cross between Woodstock '99 and the Montreux Jazz Festival, the record embraces contradiction and fragmentation over neat stylistic reconciliation.
