Biography
Offering was Christian Vander's post-*Magma* project, formed in Paris in 1983 as a tribute to *John Coltrane*. Built around voices, keyboards and percussion rather than *Magma*'s classical rock machinery, it pursued loose, devotional spiritual jazz, with Vander sharing scat and soul vocals with Stella Vander. Its three albums, 'Part 1 - Part 2', 'III - IV' and 'A Fiieh', released between 1986 and 1993 on #Seventh Records#, remain the most introspective and improvisational music of Vander's career.
