Biography
French drummer, composer and founder of *Magma*, born in Nogent-sur-Marne in 1948. Vander invented the Kobaïan language and the Zeuhl style, driving albums like 'Mëkanïk Dëstruktïẁ Kömmandöh' (1973) with martial, Coltrane-inspired intensity, and also leads the acoustic project *Offering* through his label #Seventh Records#. More than five decades on, he still leads Magma on stage, drumming and conducting the band's choral, ritual music.
