Oklou

Oklou is a French singer, songwriter, and producer. Her real name is Marylou Mayniel, born in 1993 in France. She first gained attention with her 2020 mixtape Galore. In 2025, she released her debut album Choke Enough. The album blends synth-pop, hyperpop, and experimental electronic sounds. It features collaborations with artists like Bladee and underscores. The project explores themes of meaning, emotion, and personal transformation.  It received widespread critical acclaim and appeared on major “best of 2025” lists.  Tracks like “Harvest Sky” and “Take Me by the Hand” helped define her sound.  Today, she is recognized as a key emerging voice in avant-pop and electronic music.
