Biography
Organum is the solo project of English composer David Jackman (born 1944), formerly of *Cornelius Cardew*'s Scratch Orchestra. Working solo since 1979 and as Organum from 1983, Jackman creates dense drone and noise works from bowed metal, piano, organ and elemental sound across a large, uncompromising catalogue. This is a one-person project, not a band, and the entry is reclassified accordingly.
