Biography
Oxbow was an experimental rock band from San Francisco, formed in 1988 around vocalist Eugene S. Robinson, guitarist Niko Wenner, bassist Dan Adams and drummer Greg Davis, with second drummer Tom Dobrov until 1995. Blending noise rock, blues, free jazz and musique concrète, they built a cult reputation for intense live performances and uncompromising albums, from 'Fuckfest' (1989) and 'King of the Jews' (1991) through 'The Narcotic Story' (2007) and 'Thin Black Duke' (2017) to a final album, 'Love's Holiday', in 2023. The band ended in July 2024.
