Biography
Pagan Altar are an English doom metal band formed in London in 1976 by vocalist Terry Jones and his son, guitarist Alan Jones. Their early 1980s recordings went unreleased for years, surfacing as 'Volume 1' in 1998 and making them cult heroes of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Reunited in the 2000s, they completed 'The Lords of Hypocrite' and 'Mythical & Magical'; after Terry Jones died in 2015, the band carried on, releasing 'The Room of Shadows' and 'The Night Rider'.
