Biography
Papa M is the main solo moniker of David Pajo, the *Slint* and *Tortoise* guitarist whose measured, atmospheric playing became a hallmark of post-rock. Recording first as *Aerial M*, he launched Papa M with 'Live from a Shark Cage' in 1999 on #Drag City Records#, moving from instrumental abstraction towards folk songwriting on 'Whatever, Mortal'. The project returned after a long hiatus with 'Highway Songs' and 'Ballads of Harry Houdini'.
