Biography
Piano Magic was a London collective formed in 1996 by Glen Johnson, Dominic Chennell and Dick Rance. Johnson, its only constant member, led it from the home-recorded 'Popular Mechanics' (1997) through #4AD# releases 'Son de Mar' (2001) and 'Writers Without Homes' (2002) to a settled five-piece band lineup, a run of melancholy guitar-based albums, and a final record, 'Closure', in 2017, when the group disbanded after a last London concert.
