Biography
Potemkine was a French jazz rock and Zeuhl band formed in Toulouse in 1971 by the Goubin brothers. Its stabilised album lineup featured Charles, Michel and Philippe Goubin with Xavier Vidal and Dominique Dubuisson. Between 1976 and 1978 the band released 'FÅ“tus', 'Triton' and 'Nicolas II', fusing jazz rock virtuosity with the repetitive drive of Zeuhl, before a later lineup carried the name into the early 1980s.
