Biography
Randy Burns was a Greenwich Village folk singer and songwriter from New Haven, Connecticut, whose three albums for #ESP-Disk# made him a collected figure of 1960s acid folk. As the Gaslight Cafe's regular opening act from 1966, he moved from the solo folk of 'Of Love & War' to psychedelic folk rock with the Sky Dog Band on 'Evening of the Magician' and 'Song for an Uncertain Lady'. Albums for #Mercury Records# and #Polydor Records# followed in the early 1970s, and he continued performing and recording occasionally into the 2010s. He died on 8 August 2026 in Melbourne, Florida.
