Biography
Reagan Youth is an American hardcore punk band from Queens, New York, formed in 1980 by singer Dave Rubinstein and guitarist Paul Bakija. Named as a satirical play on the Hitler Youth, the band attacked Reagan era conservatism, racism and the religious right through deliberately provocative imagery and songs such as 'New Aryans' and 'Jesus Was a Communist'. Their recordings are the 1984 record 'Youth Anthems for the New Order', reissued as 'Volume 1', and 'Volume 2' from 1990. The original band ended in 1990; Bakija reformed Reagan Youth in 2006 and has led the group since, including the later album 'Volume III'.
