Biography

Australian singer and songwriter Richard Davies, born in Sydney, led The Moles from the late 1980s, releasing 'Untune the Sky' before the band split in London in 1993. After reviving the name for the solo leaning 'Instinct', he settled in the United States and formed Cardinal with *Eric Matthews*. Their orchestral pop debut 'Cardinal' from 1994 became a cult classic. Davies went solo with 'There's Never Been a Crowd Like This' and 'Telegraph', later reuniting Cardinal for 'Hymns' in 2012 and reviving The Moles for 'Tonight's Music' and 'Code Word'.
