Biography
S.O.D., short for Stormtroopers of Death, was a New York City crossover thrash band formed in 1985 by *Anthrax* members Scott Ian and Charlie Benante with bassist Dan Lilker and singer Billy Milano. Their three day debut 'Speak English or Die' (1985) helped invent crossover thrash, mixing hardcore speed with metal riffs and deliberately offensive humour. After long periods of inactivity they returned with the second studio album 'Bigger Than the Devil' (1999) and closed with the 'Rise of the Infidels' EP in 2007.
