Biography
American saxophonist and producer from Visalia, California, based in Los Angeles. Sam Gendel first recorded with the trio *Inga*, then built a prolific solo catalogue from '4444' (2017) onward, including 'Satin Doll' (2020), 'Fresh Bread' (2021), 'blueblue' (2022) and 'Cookup' (2023). His electronically treated alto saxophone and collaborations with *Ry Cooder*, *Blake Mills* and *Vampire Weekend* place him at the experimental edge of contemporary jazz.
