Biography
Secret Oyster were a Danish jazz rock quintet formed in Copenhagen in 1972 by Karsten Vogel of *Burnin Red Ivanhoe*, guitarist Claus Bøhling and keyboardist Kenneth Knudsen. Their debut album, released abroad as 'Furtive Pearl' (1973) on #CBS Records#, mixed fusion virtuosity with composed ensemble writing. With Jess Stæhr on bass and Ole Streenberg on drums, the classic lineup made 'Sea Son' (1974), the ballet album 'Vidunderlige Kælling' (1975) and 'Straight to the Krankenhaus' (1976) before splitting in 1977.
