Biography
Baltimore-born singer and songwriter Jonathan Josiah Wise, whose serpentwithfeet project blends gospel, classical training, R&B and electronic music. After the 'blisters' EP (2016), his albums 'soil' (2018), 'DEACON' (2021) and 'GRIP' (2024) trace a path from dense, brooding confession toward celebration and the dancefloor, sung in a striking falsetto and centred on queer Black experience, faith, love, longing and desire.
