Biography
Soilent Green, formed in 1988 near New Orleans, Louisiana, fuse sludge metal, grindcore and death metal with a Southern heaviness drawn from the New Orleans underground. Singer Ben Falgoust, guitarist Brian Patton and drummer Tommy Buckley anchored the line-up that recorded 'Pussysoul' in 1995 and a run of albums for #Relapse Records#, culminating in 'Inevitable Collapse in the Presence of Conviction' on #Metal Blade Records# in 2008. Marked by tragedy, including the murder of bassist Scott Williams, the band remains a cult institution of extreme American metal.
