Sprain

Sprain was an American experimental rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 2018. The group began as a slowcore duo of Alex Kent and April Gerloff, self-releasing their debut EP 'Sprain' in 2018. After expanding their lineup, the band signed to #The Flenser# and evolved their sound towards a more abrasive and dynamic territory, incorporating noise rock, post-hardcore, and avant-garde elements. Their debut album, 'As Lost Through Collision', showcased this shift, drawing comparisons to artists like *Slint* and *Unwound*. The band reached a creative apex with their final album, the 96-minute epic 'The Lamb as Effigy', before abruptly disbanding in October 2023.
