Biography
American power trio formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1992 by Bob Mould with bassist David Barbe and drummer Malcolm Travis. Sugar's debut 'Copper Blue' (1992) paired Mould's fiercest melodies with a huge guitar sound and became his biggest-selling record. After 'Beaster' and 'File Under: Easy Listening', the band split in 1995, then reformed in 2025. The reunion reunited the original trio for their first performances together in more than three decades.
