Biography
Tall Dwarfs was the New Zealand duo of Chris Knox and Alec Bathgate, formed in 1981 after *Toy Love* split. Recording at home on four-track with handclaps and found sounds instead of a drummer, they pioneered lo-fi rock across a series of #Flying Nun Records# EPs and six albums from 'Weeville' (1990) to 'The Sky Above the Mud Below' (2002), influencing *Neutral Milk Hotel* and the Elephant 6 generation.
