Biography
Tamba Trio was a Brazilian bossa nova group formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1962 by pianist Luiz E莽a, bassist and flautist Bebeto Castilho and drummer H茅lcio Milito. All three sang in close harmony while playing, a rare combination that made albums such as 'Tamba Trio' (1962) and 'Avan莽o' (1963), with its early version of 'Mas Que Nada', classics of samba jazz. The group later continued as Tamba 4, while the trio name resurfaced on 'Tamba' (1974).
