Album Notes & Community Reviews
Luiz Eca, Bebeto Castilho and Helcio Milito had founded the trio in Rio de Janeiro in 1962, and this album comes from their reunion years of 1971 to 1975, after Eca returned from leading Tamba 4 in the United States. Their close three part harmonies over piano, flute and Milito's self built tamba drum kit remained the template for the samba jazz vocal group.
