Biography

The Axis of Perdition are a British industrial black metal band from Middlesbrough, formed in 2001 by Brooke Johnson and Michael Blenkarn out of their earlier project *Mine(thorn)*. Albums such as 'The Ichneumon Method (And Less Welcome Techniques)' (2003), 'Deleted Scenes from the Transition Hospital' (2005) and 'Urfe' (2008) fuse distorted black metal with dark ambient and horror sound design. After a 2013 split and a long dormancy, they reformed as An Axis of Perdition for 'Apertures' (2024).
