Biography
The Bottle Rockets were a roots rock and alternative country band from Festus, Missouri, formed in 1992 by Brian Henneman and Mark Ortmann. Their songs paired loud guitars and country twang with sharp, funny stories of working-class Midwestern life. After an acclaimed start with 'The Brooklyn Side' (1994) and a major-label spell on #Atlantic Records#, they settled on #Bloodshot Records# for records including 'Zoysia' (2006), 'South Broadway Athletic Club' (2015) and 'Bit Logic' (2018). The band ended in 2021 when Henneman retired.
