Biography
The Detroit Cobras are a Detroit garage rock band formed in 1994 by singer Rachel Nagy and guitarist Mary Ramirez, built almost entirely on fiery versions of obscure 1960s R&B and soul songs. Their albums 'Mink Rat or Rabbit', 'Life, Love and Leaving', 'Baby' and 'Tied & True' made them favourites of the garage revival, despite constant line-up changes around the Nagy and Ramirez core. Nagy died in January 2022.
