The Easybeats were an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1964 by Stevie Wright, George Young, Harry Vanda, Dick Diamonde and Snowy Fleet, all European migrants who met at the Villawood Migrant Hostel. They became Australia's most popular band of the 1960s and scored the country's first international rock hit with 'Friday on My Mind' (1966).
