Biography
The Electric Flag was a short lived American blues rock and soul band formed in Chicago in 1967 by Mike Bloomfield, with Nick Gravenites, Barry Goldberg, Harvey Brooks, Buddy Miles and a horn section. Pioneers of horn driven rock, they debuted at Monterey, recorded the soundtrack to The Trip and released 'A Long Time Comin'' in 1968. After Bloomfield and Goldberg left, a second album followed that year, and the founders reunited for 'The Band Kept Playing' in 1974.
