Album Notes & Community Reviews

Masterminded by guitar virtuoso Mike Bloomfield, this ambitious project sought to fuse traditional American blues with soul, rock, and explosive horn arrangements. Featuring the powerhouse vocals of Nick Gravenites and a young Buddy Miles on drums, the debut remains a monumental benchmark for the horn-driven rock bands that soon dominated the American landscape.
