Biography
The Grass Roots are a Los Angeles pop-rock band begun in 1965 as a #Dunhill Records# studio project by songwriters P. F. Sloan and Steve Barri. Once the performing lineup of Rob Grill, Warren Entner, Rick Coonce and Creed Bratton took over in 1967, the band became one of America's most consistent hitmakers, with 'Let's Live for Today', "Midnight Confessions", "Temptation Eyes" and "Two Divided by Love". Grill remained the group's voice and leader for decades, and a successor lineup still tours under the name.
