Biography
The Heptones are a Jamaican vocal trio formed in Kingston in 1965 by Leroy Sibbles, Barry Llewellyn and Earl Morgan. At #Studio One# they defined rocksteady harmony singing with songs such as 'Fattie Fattie' and 'I Hold the Handle', then carried their sound into reggae with 'Book of Rules', 'Night Food' and the *Lee Perry*-produced 'Party Time' for #Island Records#. Sibbles left in 1978, the original trio reunited in 1995, and Earl Morgan has continued the group with later lineups.
