Biography
New York quintet active from 1967 to 1971, built around Nancy Jeffries, Bill Barth, Luke Faust, Trevor Koehler and Robert Palmer, the reed player who later became a celebrated music critic. The Insect Trust fused blues, folk, jug band music, psychedelia and free jazz across two albums, 'The Insect Trust' from 1968 and 'Hoboken Saturday Night' from 1970, recorded with elite session guests because the band never kept a permanent bassist or drummer.
