Biography
The La's are an English jangle pop band from Liverpool, formed in 1983 and centred on singer and songwriter Lee Mavers and bassist John Power. After years of discarded sessions, their only studio album, 'The La's', was released by #Go! Discs# in 1990, and its single 'There She Goes' reached number 13 on reissue and influenced a generation of British guitar bands. The band split in 1992 and reformed only briefly, in 1994 and 1995, 2005 and 2011.
