Biography
The Mar-Keys were a Memphis instrumental group whose 1961 single 'Last Night' was an early hit for #Stax Records# and who became the label's house band. Their studio line-up floated from session to session, drawing most often on Steve Cropper, Donald Dunn, Booker T. Jones, Isaac Hayes, Wayne Jackson, Andrew Love and Al Jackson Jr., the same pool of players who also recorded as *Booker T. and the M.G.'s*. The Mar-Keys albums include 'Last Night!', 'Do the Pop-Eye With The Mar-Keys' and 'The Great Memphis Sound'.
