Biography
The Muffs were a Los Angeles pop punk band formed in 1991, led by singer, guitarist and songwriter Kim Shattuck. From the mid-1990s the band was the trio of Shattuck, bassist Ronnie Barnett and drummer Roy McDonald. Albums including 'The Muffs' (1993), 'Blonder and Blonder' (1995) and 'Whoop Dee Doo' (2014), plus a 'Kids in America' cover heard in Clueless, defined their mix of punk drive and 1960s pop melody. The band ended with Shattuck's death on 2 October 2019; a final album, 'No Holiday', followed.
