Biography
The Scientists is an Australian band led by Kim Salmon, formed in Perth in 1978 and rebuilt in Sydney in 1981. Its Sydney line-up created a swampy blend of garage punk, blues and noise on 'Blood Red River' (1983) and 'Weird Love' (1986), influencing generations of underground rock bands. The classic line-up reunited for the album 'Negativity' in 2021, after decades apart.
