Biography

Los Angeles psychedelic rock band active from 1965 to 1970, built around financier and frontman Bob Markley and the songwriting Harris brothers, Shaun and Danny, with Michael Lloyd, John Ware and Ron Morgan. Their elaborate light shows made them a fixture of the Los Angeles scene, while albums such as 'Part One', 'Vol. 2 (Breaking Through)' and 'Volume 3: A Child's Guide to Good and Evil' mixed folk rock harmonies with eerie, childlike and politically blunt material. The band ended in 1970 with the album 'Markley, A Group', its final studio release.
