Biography
Medway garage punk group formed in Chatham in 1985 by Billy Childish with John Agnew and Bruce Brand after *The Milkshakes*. Graham Day, Fay Hallam and Sarah Crouch completed the best-known line-up. Raw, prolific and influential, they released 'Beware the Ides of March', 'Acropolis Now' and 'Wiseblood' before splitting in 1989. Their records, many long out of print, remain core documents of the Medway scene and of the garage rock revival they helped start.
