Biography
Tiny Tim (Herbert Butros Khaury, April 12, 1932 to November 30, 1996) was an American singer from New York City, famous for singing 'Tiptoe Through the Tulips' in a quavering falsetto while strumming a ukulele. A devoted archivist of songs from the 1900s to the 1930s, he broke through in 1968 with 'God Bless Tiny Tim' on #Reprise Records#. Though often treated as a novelty act, his knowledge of vintage American song was serious and deep, and he performed until his death on stage in 1996.
