Biography
Tobin Sprout is a Dayton, Ohio singer, songwriter and guitarist who writes and sings his own material, both solo and as the second songwriter in *Guided by Voices*. He joined that band in 1987, contributed songs and home-studio craft to its defining lo-fi albums, left in 1997 after starting a solo career with 'Carnival Boy', and returned for the 2010 to 2014 classic line-up reunion. His solo catalogue, released on labels including #Matador Records# and #Merge Records#, favours gentle, melodic songwriting, and he is also a professional visual artist and children's author based in northern Michigan.
