Biography
Trashcan Sinatras are a Scottish indie pop band formed in Irvine in 1986, known for chiming guitars, warm harmonies and witty, literary lyrics sung by Francis Reader. Their early albums 'Cake', 'I've Seen Everything' and 'A Happy Pocket' appeared on #Go! Discs# before label troubles and bankruptcy forced a long silence. Remarkably, the same five musicians stayed together and resumed recording with 'Weightlifting' in 2004, continuing through 'Wild Pendulum' and the 2026 album 'Ever the Optimist', while a reissue of 'A Happy Pocket' charted again in 2023.
