Biography
Two Gallants is a San Francisco folk-rock duo formed in 2002 by Adam Stephens (vocals, guitar, harmonica) and Tyson Vogel (drums, vocals), lifelong friends who named the band after a James Joyce short story. Their music strips blues, folk and punk down to two instruments, pairing Stephens's narrative songs of desperation and regret with an unusually full, aggressive sound for a two-piece. Across five studio albums, from 'The Throes' in 2004 to 'We Are Undone' in 2015, the lineup has never changed.
