Uzva

Biography

Uzva is a Finnish instrumental ensemble from Helsinki, led by guitarist and composer Heikki Puska. Mixing progressive rock, jazz fusion and chamber instrumentation — woodwinds, vibraphone, violin, cello and harp over a rock rhythm section — they released three albums: 'Tammikuinen Tammela' (2000), 'Niittoaika' (2002) and the expansive seven-piece set 'Uoma' (2006). Their records have since won praise from progressive music publications abroad for their warmth, patience and intricate ensemble writing.
