Viagra Boys

Biography

Viagra Boys is a Swedish post-punk band formed in Stockholm, led by the charismatic and eccentric frontman Sebastian Murphy. Known for their satirical, often dark humor and driving, bass-heavy grooves, the group blends elements of garage rock, jazz-infused punk, and electronic textures. Since their debut album "Street Worms", they have gained international acclaim for their chaotic live performances and sharp critiques of modern masculinity and societal norms. Their sound, often referred to as "shrimp rock," is characterized by its infectious energy and Murphy’s distinctive, drawling vocal delivery. Through records like "Welfare Jazz" and "Cave World", the band has established themselves as one of the most unique and provocative acts in contemporary alternative music.
