Biography
Watain is a Swedish black metal band from Uppsala, formed in 1998 around Erik Danielsson, Pelle Forsberg and H氓kan Jonsson, a core that has never changed on record. Devout theistic Satanists, they stage concerts as rituals with fire, candles and blood. From 'Rabid Death's Curse' (2000) through 'Lawless Darkness', 'The Wild Hunt' and 'The Agony & Ecstasy of Watain' (2022), they have remained one of black metal's most extreme and uncompromising bands.
